SARMs: Dangerous Supplement, or New Fitness Fad?

If you’ve been reading the news lately, you’ve no doubt heard of the many athletes being busted for using “SARMs” in their training.

SARMs, short for “Selective Androgen Receptor Modulators,” are one of the most effective ways for men and women to build tons of muscle, and shred fat, in record time.

But just what are SARMs? In today’s article, we will explore this fascinating new workout supplement, and cover topics such as the following:

  • What Are SARMs?
  • How Do SARMs Work?
  • SARMs Results You Can Expect
  • SARMs Side Effects
  • Where to Buy SARMs

So, with that in mind, let’s take a look at what the science has to say.

What Are SARMs?

SARMs Common QuestionsSARMs are often compared to “legal steroids,” and to be honest, that isn’t very far from the truth. Selective Androgen Receptor Modulators, more commonly known as SARMs, are the hottest new supplement on the market, promising incredible results.

But just how do SARMs work? Well, your body has what are known as “androgen receptors” all over the place. They’re mostly in your muscles, such as your biceps, triceps, shoulders, legs, and other “smooth muscles” such as heart and organ tissues.

When a user takes steroids, the steroid targets all of these androgen receptors. This leads to crazy fast muscle growth, but also a ton of side effects.

Most of the side effects of steroids come from the steroids targeting the “bad” androgen receptors, in your smooth muscle tissues. This is why steroids often lead to an enlarged heart, as well as other nasty side effects.

SARMs however, selectively target the “good” androgen receptors in your skeletal muscles. This means that with SARMs such as Ostarine and RAD 140, you can easily put on slabs of muscle, while also losing fat, and getting very few side effects.

How Do SARMs Work?

Upon entering the body, SARMs begin working very rapidly. They start by binding to androgen receptors in your skeletal muscles, signaling them to start growing very rapidly.

…and because they avoid the androgen receptors in your smooth muscle tissues, and because they’re non-hormonal, they have very few side effects.

Don’t believe me? Let’s take a look at what the research says. According to a recent study conducted at the Boston University School of Medicine, SARMs present an “unprecedented opportunity” for users to put on muscle, with very few side effects:

“The last decade has witnessed unprecedented discovery effort to develop selective androgen receptor modulators (SARMs) that improve physical function and bone health without adversely affecting the prostate and cardiovascular outcomes. SARMs hold promise as a new class of function promoting anabolic therapies for a number of clinical indications, including functional limitations associated with aging and chronic disease, frailty, cancer cachexia, and osteoporosis.”

Another study found that SARMs such as Ligandrol are highly well tolerated, with users experiencing little to no side effects, and still experiencing rapid muscle gain:

“LGD-4033 was well tolerated. There were no drug-related serious adverse events. Frequency of adverse events was similar between active and placebo groups.”

The same study also found that lipid and hormone panels returned to normal after cycle, in contrast to steroids, which can often leave permanent side effects:

“Lean body mass increased dose dependently, but fat mass did not change significantly. Hormone levels and lipids returned to baseline after treatment discontinuation.”

In fact, SARMs are so effective, that they’ve been banned by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) since 2008. They are currently on the World Anti-Doping Agency’s list of prohibited substances for athletes:

“SARMs have been prohibited by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) since 2008. SARMs have the potential to be misused for performance enhancement in sport due to their anabolic properties as well as ability to stimulate androgen receptors in muscle and bone. They are currently prohibited at-all-times in the category of “other anabolic agents” under section S1.2 of the WADA Prohibited List. Some examples of SARMs are Ostarine and Andarine.”

These are just a few of the studies which show how effective SARMs are… and while more research needs to be done, the anecdotal and clinical evidence so far is astounding.

Ostarine (MK-2866) Results

Ostarine (MK-2866) ResultsMK-2866, otherwise known as Ostarine, is one of the most popular SARMs out there. Not only is it known for helping users pack on tons of muscle, but it’s also very well researched.

Take a look at the image above. Those are the before and after results I got from an Ostarine cycle, and in all seriousness, they were pretty incredible. In just 90 days, I was able to put on 18 pounds of muscle, lose 7 pounds of fat, and I had almost no side effects.

For these results, I ran the following cycle:

  • 25mg Ostarine/Day
  • 10mg Ligandrol/Day
  • 10mg Cardarine/Day

I took the SARMs first thing in the morning with a glass of water, and chugged it down. The results started showing almost instantly. I felt stronger in just under 48 hours, which is fast.

I was also breaking personal records in the gym within just 1-2 weeks, and the strength didn’t stop coming until I finally got off the cycle.

RAD 140 Results

Ostarine (MK-2866) ResultsTestolone, otherwise known as RAD 140, is another very popular SARM… and in my opinion, it’s by far one of the best SARMs on the market.

Take a look at the image above. In just 60 days, I was able to pack on a whopping 21 pounds of muscle, and shred off a remarkable 12 pounds of fat… with no side effects.

I attribute this to the incredible anabolic ratio that RAD 140 has, coming in at 90:1. What this means is that RAD 140 is 90% as effective as pure testosterone, and only has 1% of the side effects. That’s pretty incredible, wouldn’t you agree?

When I took RAD 140, I started noticing benefits almost immediately. Within just 48 hours I felt stronger and had way more energy. Similar to Ostarine, I also broke tons of records in the gym.

SARMs Side Effects

Now, I know what you’re thinking – how is it possible that SARMs can be so powerful, without any side effects? Well, this isn’t entirely true.

SARMs do have some mild side effects, but most research shows us that it’s negligible. I personally didn’t experience any side effects, but I was also sure to run a simple PCT.

Some users experience mildly suppressed testosterone levels, but this returns to normal once you end your cycle and take a PCT (my bloodwork results prove this).

Others can experience slight increases in cholesterol, although some research seems to suggest that SARMs can even help improve cholesterol levels.

For example, one study conducted by the Boston Medical Center’s Section of Endocrinology found that Ligandrol, a popular SARM, actually decreased triglycerides:

“LGD-4033 administration was associated with dose-dependent suppression of total testosterone, sex hormone–binding globulin, high density lipoprotein cholesterol, and triglyceride levels.”

Aside from slightly increased cholesterol levels, and slightly suppressed testosterone levels however, there are very few SARMs side effects.

The bottom line is that most SARMs are incredibly safe, and while more research needs to be done, so far, clinical and anecdotal evidence has shown that they are very well tolerated.

Where to Buy SARMs Online

SARMs OnlineNaturally, as with any new and emerging workout supplements, there’s going to be a lot of scammers out there. Unfortunately, most people don’t know this.

In fact, according to a recent study conducted at the Sports Medicine Research and Testing Laboratory in Salt Lake City, Utah, researchers found that only 52% of supplements labeled as “SARMs” actually contained what they claimed to be selling:

“Among 44 products marketed and sold as selective androgen receptor modulators, only 23 (52%) contained 1 or more selective androgen receptor modulators (Ostarine, LGD-4033, or Andarine). An additional 17 products (39%) contained another unapproved drug, including the growth hormone secretagogue ibutamoren, the peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor-δ agonist GW501516, and the Rev-ErbA agonist SR9009.”

When you want to buy SARMs online, you need to be very safe… and that’s why the only company I’ve ever trusted to buy SARMs from, has been Proven Peptides.

Proven Peptides is the best SARMs source out there, period. Every single batch of their SARMs is verified for purity by a 3rd party laboratory, so you know exactly what you’re getting.

They’ve also got lightning-fast shipping, highly competitive prices, and best of all, incredible customer support. They’ve even got a line you can call them on, which 99% of other SARMs selling companies out there don’t have.

The bottom line is that if you want to buy SARMs online, I don’t recommend you get them anywhere else, than from Proven Peptides. Far too many people have been scammed, and bought dangerous prohormones, so it’s just not worth the risk.

SARMs: The Bottom Line

All in all, SARMs present an incredible opportunity for users to build on slabs of muscle, shred tons of fat, and to do so without experiencing many side effects.

Just using a simple SARM such as RAD 140 or Ostarine (MK-2866), users can expect to gain 15-25 pounds of muscle in just 2-3 months. That’s pretty incredible, no?

The bottom line is that SARMs work, period.

…and while more research certainly needs to be done on the longer term side effects, all of the current preliminary research suggests one thing: that SARMs are highly powerful, highly effective, and highly safe.
