Zucchini & Cauliflower Soup

This is such a tasty healthy soup recipe for weight loss. You definitely will love and crave it more. Zucchini and cauliflower have nearly subtle flavours, thus Dijon mustard and oregano actually spice up this dish.

You can substitute cauliflower with broccoli if you like or even baby spinach.



1 leek, washed and sliced

2 large zucchinis, chopped

1/2 head cauliflower, chopped

2 cloves garlic, crushed

4 cups chicken or veggie stock, heated

1 tsp. Dijon mustard

Sprinkle oregano

1 tbsp. olive oil

Splintered pepper


  1. Heat up a pot with olive oil and stir in leek on low heat, about 5 mins.
  2. Turn up heat to medium, add in zucchini, garlic, and oregano, and stir a more couple of minutes.
  3. Next, add in cauliflower, Dijon mustard, season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Pour in stock to pan. Simmer for 20 minutes, taste and add more seasoning if desired.
  5. Turn off heat and blend until smooth. Enjoy!

Garlic Soup

This healthy soup recipe for weight loss contains four whole cloves of garlic, roasted to fragrant, and mixed in a creamy rich soup. You can try at the puree stage, and refrigerate for up to one day before adding cream and lemon juice.



4 cloves garlic, roasted

1/4 cup olive oil

6 tbsp unsalted butter

4 leeks, chopped

1 onion, chopped

6 tbsp all-purpose flour

4 cups chicken broth

1 cup heavy whipping cream

1 tbsp lemon juice, or to taste

1/4 tsp freshly ground white pepper

2 tbsp chopped fresh chives

Salt and pepper to taste


  1. Remove top each garlic head. Put in a small, shallow baking dish. Drizzle olive oil over. Bake or roast it until golden. Cool it slightly. Press each garlic cloves between thumb and finger to release from its skin. Chop it.
  2. Melt butter in saucepan in medium. Add in garlic, leeks, and onion; saute until onion is translucent, around 8 minutes. Add in flour and cook 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in hot broth. Simmer for more minutes, stirring occasionally. Cool it a little.
  3. Puree soup in a blender or food processor.
  4. Pour it back to saucepan, and add in cream. Simmer until thickened, around 10 minutes. Add lemon juice to taste. Season with salt and pepper. Ladle into bowls. Garnish with chives.

Sweet Potato with Roasted Garlic & Onion Soup in A Hole

1 large any kinds of sweet potato

1 large onion, chopped

8 cloves garlic, crushed

1 tbsp. olive oil

2 cups chicken or veggies stock

1 cup water

Sprinkle oregano

Cracked pepper

Salt and pepper to taste


  1. Preheat oven to 200°C (400F).
  2. Place garlic in foil, drizzle a little olive oil. Scrunch up foil so it covers garlic with a loose knot. Place on middle tray in oven.
  3. Peel onion and slice into 3 sections of large rings. On an oven tray, line with foil, and place the onion rings, drizzle with oil and place in oven. Bake onions and garlic for about 20-30 mins until softened. You might need to pull the garlic out first and set aside as it could fastly soften.
  4. In a pot, put in onion, garlic, sweet potato, cracked pepper, oregano, and stock. Simmer for 30 mins. Use extra cup of water if desired, or leave it such that if you like a thinner soup.
  5. When potato is softened, blend with a hand blender until all is smooth.
  6. Serve with crusty bread.

Avocado Soup

Avocado is high fat food, yet it is heart-healthy monounsaturated fatty acids, is a ‘good’ and healthy fat to helps trim down cholesterol, as long as you keep them in moderation. As it is already high in fat, this recipe does not include oil or any fat. This healthy soup recipe for weight loss is absolutely worth to enjoy.



4-5 avocado

2 cups chicken or veggies stock, low-salt

1 cup heavy whipping cream

1 onion, diced

1 tsp. crushed garlic

Cilantro for garnish, chopped

Salt and pepper to taste


  1. Put in avocado into a blender or processor, blend it for about 3-5 minutes or until smooth. Set aside.
  2. In a pot, heat up chicken or veggie stock and cream. Stir occasionally. Pour into the smooth avocado. Stir well.
  3. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with cilantro.

Asian Mixed Veggies Sour Soup


No oils or any unhealthy fats needed, this sour soup is one of my hubby’s favorite healthy soup recipes for weight loss. Bursting with flavours, nutrients, and ingredients, you could try it if you like hot spicy flavour in your soup. You will never regret it!


4 cups chicken broth

2 big tomatoes, sliced

1 big onion

2 cloves crushed garlic

1 corn, chopped in 4-5 chunks

1 chayote, peeled and chopped

1 yellow squash, cubed

2 cups fresh or frozen long beans

1 can peanut, drained and rinsed

Chili powder

Salt and pepper to taste


  1. In a crockpot, boil chicken broth.
  2. Add in stir-fried garlic and veggies with remaining ingredients. Boil on high until all veggies are cooked.
